CB6 Street Co-Naming Policy
CB6 considers requests for streets in our district to be co-named. Those requests are reviewed by our Transportation Committee.
Our guidelines for street co-naming requests are outlined in a resolution passed on June 10, 2026. The resolution outlining these guidelines can be found here. Please review our guidelines, as any street co-naming applications that do not adhere to our guidelines will not be considered by the Transportation Committee.
One of the requirements for a street co-naming application is a petition demonstrating community support. You can find a sample petition form here (note that the sample petition form opens as a Google Doc).
You can find a map of all co-named streets in New York City here.
CB6 Policy on Parking Regulation Modification Requests
CB6 considers requests from tenants and owners of residential buildings to make alterations to parking regulations in front of their properties. If you are interested in making a request for alterations to parking regulations in front of your building, the guidelines are outlined in a resolution we passed in February 2025.
